Job Description
A courier driver is responsible for driving a 1 tonne cube van to pick up and deliver a variety of items to various locations around the Midwest and Lakeland area.
- Safely operate a 16’ cube van to pick up and deliver various products.
- Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle
- Have effective organizational skills to plan delivery travel schedules and route to run on time
- Load and unload cargo, goods or merchandise
- Provide customer service by delivering over established routes and accepting payments for goods
- Record information on pick-ups and deliveries, and report any incidents or problems encountered
- Communicate with central dispatch using mobile communications equipment.
Members of the Relay Courier Team:
- Are hardworking, reliable & love driving Have good decision making skills Work with minimal supervision Have a graduated class 5 or better license Have a clean driving record Have the ability to back up using side mirrors only Have excellent communication and customer service skills Are able to lift up to 50lbs frequently
